Fukui-ken Here I Come!!!

So I finally know where I will be placed! Fukui prefecture. Its about 2 hours west of Tokyo and East of Okinawa. On the coast so yay, lots of seafood... and beches will be nice... if they're not FROZEN OVER! That's right. It snows there in the winter. Good times. On the brighter side it will give me an excuse to get cute witner clothes before I go. But oh how I forget... its sumemr in sunny CA and it will be nearly impossible to think of cold times ahead. Maybe they'll let me hibernate in the colder months. Eek. Cold. But other than that, I am pretty damn excited! I think this is going to be real fun and I can hardly wait to get there. Its still a bit surreal to think that I won't be here in a couple of months. But at the same time its starting to sink in. I am scrambling to learn some Japanese where ever I can. It may be a futile effort for now, but I'm working on it. Isn't this exciting. Everybody gets to learn Japanese with Tina and see her constantly forget new words! Well, off to go fill out a survey for the Fukui school board (for exact placement). More to come. I'm sure everyone is sitting on the edge of their seats! :P To tide you over, here are some websites that tell a bit about Fukui and JET in Fukui... http://www.pref.fukui.jp/english/
http://www.fjet.org/index.html .... hmmmm... that "letter to women" is interesting.... something to ponder...
